Call of Gods browser game
Added on: 3 May, 2011Call of Gods is a free-to-play browser game from giant developer Aeria Games and Entertainment, the company behind Grand Fantasia, Last Chaos, and Heroes of Gaia. The game features an attractive interface and setting in a fantasy-tinged version of ancient Greece. With gameplay elements not typically found in a browser-based MMORTS with strong RPG tendencies, Call of Gods offers a richer experience than classic city-building and army management.
Players choose a hero from one of three “races”: human, elven, or undead. Dungeons with rich treasure await the hero, and as he levels up, he can tackle tougher dungeons. That’s fairly typical of a browser-based MMORPG, but what isn’t is the ability to group up with others and tackle group dungeons. Grouping is familiar to players of premium RPGs, but few browser games offer this capability. Bigger dungeons have commensurately bigger rewards, and these go to finance the hero’s advancement or to build a more glorious city.
Call of Gods also features PVP combat in addition to city-building and dungeon-crawling. Joining an alliance lets players work with others instead of dueling them, if they choose; most will, as alliances confer special benefits that solo play does not. Build teams of sturdy fighters or fragile, but deadly mages and take on dungeons or match wits with other players in Call of Gods.
