Farmerama browser game
Added on: 30 April, 2011Farmerama is a browser-based free-to-play game that takes players back to the country. Its addictive gameplay and variety of farmable critters including pigs, rabbits, chickens, and even ostriches will keep any e-farm aficionado entertained. Colorful animations and real barnyard sounds add to the rural ambience of Farmerama.
Unlike other popular farm-based games, Farmerama doesn’t expect players to tend to their farms constantly. It’s a more player-friendly game experience that allows farmers to play at their own pace. The animals and plants will still need tending occasionally, but they don’t need much micro-management. Instead, players can spend their time buying and developing new acreage for their farms or improving their existing land. They can also sell their produce for country coins; enough country coins buys barnyard bucks, a currency that players can also purchase with real-world cash via microtransactions.
New farmers start out with a kid-friendly tutorial and quickly progress to planting their own crops and trees as they manage their own farm animals, selling their extra chicks and piglets at the farmer’s market. A forum and community chat area lets new and veteran farmers alike chat about life on the farm and trade tips for increasing harvests.
