Urban Rivals browser game

Urban Rivals is a fusion of an online trading card game and a Flash-based strategy game. Its responsiveness, rapid battle system, and thoughtfully designed interface make it an increasingly popular choice for players who enjoy a pick-up battle without the need to go through a host of steps to get there. Multi-player battles and duels keep Urban Rivals exciting, while appealing comic-style graphics make it almost as much fun to watch as to play.

As with physical TCGs, players build a deck of cards, then draw hands from their decks to test against their opponents’ decks. Novice players get a choice of decks to build: Action, Danger, or Cool. These three types represent aggressive attacks, tricky abilities, and card-control styles of play, respectively. Each hand has four cards and lasts through a four-round battle. At the end of the match, both players and cards gain experience. While individual cards become more powerful, players accrue levels and “clintz,” the currency that buys new cards.

Another possible means of gaining new cards is via booster packs available through micro-transactions. If the clintz aren’t rolling in quickly enough, buy some credits and redeem them for booster packs to bolster a customized deck. Urban Rivals is free to play, though, and booster packs are equally available to players who spend nothing but clintz.
